Escaping Thanksgiving Pounds

Standard

By Pallavi Sharma

It is one day before thanksgiving. I can smell festivity in the air, along with the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or the smell of yummy turkey getting prepared for tomorrow’s big family dinner. Yes its that time of the year again when we decide to take it easy and swing along with the tunes of “Jingle Bells” and be one with the holiday spirit.

But the reality comes crashing down a week after new years, when we step on the scale and tears come rolling down! The quote, “A moment on the lips, forever on the hips” can be easily applied to us. But we don’t want that now, do we?! I have been preparing myself too and in order to do that, I started looking for ideas to help not creep in those extra pounds. One of the greatest idea I found was to eat a small meal (preferably protien) before you head to a thanksgiving dinner. This will keep you full and prevent you from overeating at the dinner.

This article had some great ideas too. Feel free to read it and if you got some suggestions, feel free to leave a comment on my blog page!

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

About pallavisharma

Welcome to my blog! Apart from being a health and fitness freak, I love writing, and this blog is a perfect outlet for it. I am not a professional writer by any means, but would like to be someday, so I can inspire people far and wide. I am a project manager by day, and go to business school at night. I am happily married to the love of my life, and thoroughly enjoy being a stepmom to two of the most wonderful kids I know. The goal of my blog is just one word – INSPIRE. If I was able to help even one person enough to get them to change their life around for the better, I would consider myself extremely fortunate. I am super thankful to all my readers who have given me so much love and encouragement through the years. You guys rock! I will leave you with one quote – “Monotony is the awful reward of the careful. If you want to change and grow, you need to take risk” – John C. Maxwell
