Become A Superhero: Just Smile

A simple smile is said to have the same positive effect as upto 2000 bars of chocolate, Ron Gutman. Now that itself gives a fitness freak like me a big reason to smile more, so I don’t have to succumb to those yummy chocolaty goodness, and get depressed later.

But more than, smiling has proven to increase the levels of feel good hormones like endorphine in one’s body. Working out has the same effect on an individual, but in this case all one needs to workout are the facial muscles. It is also known to significantly increase the longevity of one’s life span. People who have been known to smile more, they have go on to have a longer life.

Ron Gutman who is the CEO of HealthTap, an Interactive Health Company is also an active member of the TED community. I came across his video on the hidden benefits of smiling and wanted to share it with all my readers out there.
