I have been feeling this need to change something up in my diet or fitness routine. The reason is that I had been getting injured quite a bit from months of hard workout and I needed to slow down. But in order to slow down I needed to closely watch my calorie intake, and that’s tough! Especially in the summer with all the happy hours and margaritas and mojitos and long island iced teas, etc.
So I decided that this will be a “give up” month for me. People who know me well enough, they know what snacking means to me! Some people’s guilty pleasure is chocolate, for some its ice cream, for me it is “snacking” on crackers. Any type you can think of. At a time I can consume a whole roll of crackers. I even love snacking on chips and anything that’s greasy and crunchy! So for the next 40 days I have promised to give up on snacking! YES!
I am a week into it, and have already failed once, but that’s ok!! I have been keeping a close eye on it and have replaced snacking of junk food with fruits. I do not allow any temptation so when I go grocery shopping, I only shop for fruits and do not even enter the snacking aisle! If I do crave for it, I snack on unsalted almonds and walnuts instead. And so far I feel AHHMAZINGG!!!
