Focus T25 Challenge!

insanity, focus t25, workout, beach body, shaun t

After completing Insanity (twice), Asylum 1 and 2, and some of P90X, I wanted to challenge myself once again. I had heard that the Beach Body Insanity team was coming up with another revolutionary workout routine. And I had been waiting for it for a while, until they released it finally last week. So the long wait finally ended for me and today marks the first day of my Focus T25 challenge. Eventhough the regimen asks you to follow it for 60 days, I will be working on it until August 15th. I will try to document my progress as much as I can, but if I am not able to get a blog post out there, I will atleast get a progress picture out soon.

My intention of doing this workout is very clear, like Shaun T says, “get into the best shape of your life”. That’s right! During my Insanity and Asylum months, I worked on building the stamina I never had. But now through Focus T25, I want to get some definition back in my legs and abs.

So what is Focus T25?
Are you a busy working professional? Are you a super busy Mom? Are you a student who has very little time for a workout? Do you have just 25 minutes in a day to spare for yourself???
If you are any of the above and more, then Focus T25 is for you! It is a non-stop 25 minute intense interval training. And these 25 minutes fit perfectly into my schedule, as having a full time work and part time school, does not leave enough hours in the day for me to workout. But what it does give me is just 25 minutes to get a great quality workout in. Focus T25 guarantees to give you the most bang for the time you put in. There are no water breaks and you are expected to keep going until Shaun T says TIME!

What I am also doing
Just workout without a controlled diet is like throwing rocks in the ocean, it has no effect! I am keeping a careful eye on my consumption of snacking food (like mentioned in a previous blog – I have a weakness for those!). I have increased my vegetable intake (more spinach, broccoli, etc. can be found in my food) and fruits as well (strawberries, blueberries, etc).

My First Impression
Well what can I say, it KICKED MY ASS! I feel super sore already, but its the sore of satisfaction – the kind you’ve worked for and earned.

About pallavisharma

Welcome to my blog! Apart from being a health and fitness freak, I love writing, and this blog is a perfect outlet for it. I am not a professional writer by any means, but would like to be someday, so I can inspire people far and wide. I am a project manager by day, and go to business school at night. I am happily married to the love of my life, and thoroughly enjoy being a stepmom to two of the most wonderful kids I know. The goal of my blog is just one word – INSPIRE. If I was able to help even one person enough to get them to change their life around for the better, I would consider myself extremely fortunate. I am super thankful to all my readers who have given me so much love and encouragement through the years. You guys rock! I will leave you with one quote – “Monotony is the awful reward of the careful. If you want to change and grow, you need to take risk” – John C. Maxwell
