What I love most about this particular ab exercise is that it is a compound movement. It targets many different muscle groups at the same time giving you a bigger bang for your buck. This single movement involves not only a great core and oblique workout, but also gets your heart rate up and, ultimately helping you burn more calories. This is indeed one of the most effective ab workouts!
- Start in a traditional plank position with your forearms on the ground and your body perfectly straight.
- Bring your right knee forward towards your right elbow, then return to the plank position.
- Repeat by bringing your left knee toward your left elbow. That’s one rep.
- Alternate sides for a total of 10 complete reps.
Advanced Move –
Add a push up to this movement.
